Episode Description for “The Power Of Off ”
In the hustle and bustle of today’s world it’s easy to get lost in the matrix of technology. We often forget to put our phones down and connect with those around us. In Nancy Colier’s new book “The Power of Off” she is helping people put down their phones, turn off their computers and rediscover what it means to be switched off.
Dr. Risk’s Thoughts
In my lifetime I have seen the rise of internet and cell phones. The amount that these two have engulfed our lives is amazing. Hearing stories from people who can’t live without their phones, or seeing the amazing transition from reading books to browsing the internet. Nancy Colier brings this to light, and I loved having this discussion with her. I think we all need to unplug every once in a while and giving ourselves a break from the fast paced world of electronics.
