Living with Chemicals with Janet Newman » Listen

Date: August 20, 2018

Episode Description

Our world is full of unregulated toxins.  From makeup, shampoo, soap, to furniture, pollution and pesticides.  In this interview, Janet Newman is explaining how these chemicals affect us, and how we can protect ourselves and our families.

Dr. Risk’s Thoughts

I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.  At the height of my illness with Lyme Disease, I was able to walk outside for an hour, but only lasted 10 minutes in a mall (then losing the rest of my day to extreme fatigue).  It wasn’t obvious at the time, but I was reacted to the chemicals, and off gassing in the mall, and in the office I worked in.  When tackling any chronic illness, Lyme or otherwise, it’s important to reduce the burden on our bodies so that we can heal.  This includes removing extra toxins and chemicals that can be adding to our symptoms and making our illness worse.
