Episode Description

We are in the middle of a world wide diabetes epidemic. Although the causes are often apparent, the solutions seem to be harder to reach. With 422 million people in USA diagnosed with diabetes, the question is “what do we do now?” In Mona Morstein’s book “Master Your Diabetes” she gives a comprehensive guide to diet, exercise, sleep, stress management and supplements to help prevent or reverse diabetes. She’s sharing her wisdom in this interview.

Dr. Risk’s Thoughts

It is hard to find a family that has not been affected by diabetes or metabolic disorder, including my own.  In my efforts to avoid the road of Type II diabetes that is in my family, I make sure that my diet stays healthy, and that I am aware of what goes into my body.  Without a healthy diet and exercise, my body doesn’t work.  I want others to have personal awareness of themselves and make changes so that they, too, can feel good in their bodies.
