Episode Description for “Ayruvedic Medicine and Modern Neurology”
“Changing medicine is about changing perception.”-Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary
Dr. Kulreet Chaudhary has taken neurology beyond modern Western medicine, and incorporated ancient Ayruvedic meidicine. In her easy to follow book, she provides straight forward directions on how to clear the body of toxins, that can lessen symptoms of serious illnesses. As a side effect, she found that her patients were also losing weight, and feeling better overall. In The Prime: Prepare and Repair Your Body for Spontaneous Weight Loss, she first used these Ayuryvdic techniques to help herself, and is now sharing them with Dr. Rebecca Risk in this interview.
Dr. Risk’s Thoughts
Like Dr. Chaudhary did, I believe we all need to see past our comfort zones. I love her passion and bravery to see beyond conventional medicine and help her patients. I believe that all too often we try to fit into boxes, and we need to step beyond to find solutions for our health problems. Dr. Chaudhary did this when we embraced Ayurvedic medicine, working with her conventional medicine as a neurologist, she uses this to help her patients have a better quality of life.
