Episode Description
We’re often told as we get older things are going to change. We’re going to feel worse, and it’s just part of aging. What if that wasn’t the case? Discussing her book “Mindful Aging: Embracing Your Life After 50 to Find Fulfillment, Purpose, and Joy” in this interview, Andrea Brandt walks us through how we can age gracefully.
Dr. Risk’s Thoughts
I am often told by my patients not to get old. The pain, and fatigue and illness associated with age is overwhelming for many. It also seems, that since it’s considered a normal phenomenon, that there is little information on how to cope with the changes we face. Andreas book was easy and straight forward, and covered a lot of the little things that we may not think of. When reading this book, I felt would also be helpful for those suffering from a chronic illness who are looking for more support.
