It is so rare to find a book that supports some of the Chinese Medicine thoughts. A lot of people embrace raw foods when they are unwell, not realizing how hard this is for the body to process. Julie’s Hot Detox program embraces TCM and ayrvedic ideologies to “warm up” the digestion to allow the body to heal. A large part of my healing journey was digestion, and I lived on congee (a Chinese Medicine recipe of over cooked rice, meat and veggies), and found this easier on my stomach than salads and harder to digest foods. As I got stronger, my ability to eat foods I love grew, but it took time. I wish books like this were around for me at that time!
