Episode Description for Grief Recovery

Grief and loss need no description.  We have all felt it with the loss of a family member, a job, through illness or other life experiences.  What we don’t realize is how ill equipt we are to deal with it.  The Grief Recovery Institute has a clear laid out handbook that can help anyone see the happy memories and the brighter side of grief.

 Dr. Risk’s Thoughts

I found this show extremely helpful.  After airing, I leant out the book to a couple people who went through the program and found it helped them see things differently.  Grief, and other emotions, are different to process for everyone and it’s difficult to find something that works.  I found Stephen Moeller was right, that this program gets to the root of the issues more than other things I have found.  None of us are free of experiencing grief in our lives, but we can move on from the pain.
