Episode Description for “Overcoming Pain

Approaching pain holistically has become more and more necessary as more traditional resources aren’t getting to the root of the problem.  Sebhia Dibra will be discussing her book “Overcoming Acute and Chronic Pain: Keys to Treatment Based on Your Emotional Type.”  Pain is a dynamic condition and understanding your emotional type is key to successful results.

 Dr. Risk’s Thoughts

In my journey with Lyme Disease, pain was a major part of it.  There wasn’t one part of my body that didn’t hurt.  Pain management became a large part of my life, and I sought out multiple disciplines to survive my life.  There isn’t one person in the world who hasn’t experienced pain, and at one time or another, we need to look for solutions.  Medications only cover the symptoms, and it’s always important to get to the root of the issue.  I believe we need to keep searching until we find what is right for us.
